Gwalior is famous due to various personality, places. It has important role in history, initialy  Raja Man Singh built his fort for his queens. After that Aurangzeb had taken over this place and convert it in to a jail, since it became a jail for Britisher also. After British it is transferred to scindia family.
It has various places to visit-

2- Jahangir Palace

1- Raja Man Singh Palace -
it built in late 15 century, it is famous for its design and structure and you are going to love this palace. there were different section for different activity, like music, prayer, meeting, celebration. in those days queens were not allowed to show their face in front of others, so king had built special places to silt. It was close place with net like structure from where they can see only. At that time king was having 9 queen but 8 queen were from prestigious family last one is from local area so you will find only 8 places for 8 queens.
To visit Here you have to by a ticket and it is near this palace and from here you will get ticket for Saas bahu mandir and teli ka mandir

2- Jahangir Palace - Jahangir also ruled here and he had built his own palace ,it is open and big. If you will go there you will feel very calm and chill , such a nice place to sit and relax.
Here also ticket needed and for this another window is available.


3- Johar Kund- A big and deep kund which was used as suicide place. At that time is king got defeated in war then all queen and women of palace had to do suicide so that other kings and men could not humiliate them.

4- Saas bahu Mandir - There is two temple one is for lord Shiv and another is for Lord Vishnu. According to story kings Mother was devoted to lord shiv and Wife was devoted to lord Vishnu so king had decided to built two different temple so that they could worship calmly.




5- Teli ka mandir-

6- Gurudwara - Gurudwara  is always a very beautiful and nice place to go, here also , near the fort a big Gurudwara is present . must visit here .

7- Zoo- zoo is always children's favorite place , here they can see tiger, lion, leopard, crocodile, hippopotamus , different kind of birds and snake. for children various game activity is also available.









8- Italian Garden - it is awesome place with grenry and water to spend quality of time.

9- Rajamata scindia Garden- It is near the Mela ground. This is good for family picnic or to enjoy some quality time in garden with peace.

10 - Mela - If you are here in January or February then must go in mela. This is very large scale mela and its called Vyapaar Mela. It held every year in January. Here you can see all kind of shop and people  of Gwalior .

11- Bada - main market of Gwalior ,if you have some time must visit here.  It is busy road surround with beautiful old buildings. Parking is available here and market divided in different part , one is Topi bazaar and another is Subhash Market
In Subhash Market if go inside you are going to love it. If you artificial jewelry lover then go inside there is jewelry market at a very reasonable price and all kind of shop for women.

12- Dahi Mandi - It is old market ,where you can get good cloths for function at reasonable price. you have to do bargaining.

13- Mitawali-   Lord Shiv Temple about 40 km away from Gwalior , Marvelous structure.



14- Bateshwer-  Ruined temple structure near Mitawali , you feel very pleasant here.
